Step onto a floating oasis complete with your own licensed captain, ice filled cooler, fresh water sink and a jammin’ Bluetooth sound system. All you have to bring is your favorite food and beverages and comfortable attire.

Windward Sailing

This private boat tour company has been on the island for over 20 years. When you book with them, you will be the only person, couple, or family on the tour. They do not combine tours with other folks – so it’s just your group!

Amelia River Cruises & Charters

1 N Front St Suite #3, Fernandina Beach

This is high on our list of things to do while on Amelia Island. The cruises are fun, educational, relaxing, and many options are available. We’ve gone a few times and have loved it! Turtles, dolphins, wild horses, history, and views that are certainly picture worthy.

Jet Ski Amelia

Backwater Cat Adventure

Amelia River Cycle

Kayak Amelia

13030 Heckscher Dr, Jacksonville

Located on the very south-end of the island, this company takes great care in making sure you know how to paddle, where to paddle, and that you have a great time! You just show-up and they do all the work. Be sure to wear a hat, sunscreen, and maybe take some bug spray, just in case.

Mayport Ferry-Mayport Landing

4780 Ocean St, Atlantic Beach

If you’ve never been on a car ferry before, now is your chance. About a 30-45 minute drive from Amelia Island, this boat will take you across the river into Jacksonville where you’ll find two seafood destinations. Singletons is a seafood dive shack; it’s been around for years and you’ll either love it or hate it. The other seafood restaurant and market is Safe Harbor, it was the #1 seafood in Florida by msn.com. It’s a really cool place and if you have the time the ferry and seafood might be worth it!
