This list would be very long if we included every restaurant in the area; therefore, we shared local favorites and eateries that are either great for a special occasion or have a unique feature – i.e. water-view, sunset views, great for kids, etc.
Arte Pizza
Enjoy delicious pizza, hearty pasta, fresh salads, and your favorite beer, wine, and sangria! Check out our social media for weekly pizza and pasta specials, as well as live music and drink specials! Our patio is dog-friendly and lightly shaded, perfect for enjoying meals al fresco.
España Restaurant & Tapas
A must for any visitor to the area! Our favorite! We can’t recommend the best dish because they are all amazing. Order the Sangria for sure – best on the island. Oh, and the deserts – wow!!
The Patio at 5th and Ash
This is a must when visiting Amelia Island. Outside seating is big, and comfy, and they have firepits! Food is yummy, live music when happening is just right, and service is friendly. Many locals can be found enjoying this space on most nights!
Captain Jack’s Smokehouse
Perched on the edge of the Amelia River, they offer delicious slow smoked BBQ with a view! Captain Jack’s also features a full bar and 2 patios with breath taking views.
Crab Trap
They offer delicious fresh seafood, savory steaks, cold cocktails and more in a newly renovated historic building. With upstairs and downstairs dining and a full bar on both floors, it’s the perfect place to gather and enjoy great food and company. They feature a great Happy Hour Monday-Friday, and live music most evenings.
Timoti’s Seafood Shak
Best local seafood and kid friendly place on the island! Giant play ship in a fenced in area for the kiddos. You’ll love their seafood baskets and casual setting.
Amelia Tavern Restaurant & Brewpub
Love the burger! Nice outside seating area for people watching. Get the giant pretzel and enjoy a flight of their beers.
V Pizza – Fernandina Beach
Our favorite gluten free pizza place! Try the veggie gluten free – the cauliflower crust, so good!!!
Moon River Pizza
Local favorite for years and voted best pizza several years in a row. Good gluten free pizza, salads, and laid-back atmosphere.
T-Rays Burger Station
Local favorite for years! This restaurant looks like a gas station on the outside, but once inside you’ll be treated like a local! Family run diner and a step-back in time with all the local memorabilia. Enjoy breakfast or lunch – voted best burger by USA Today!
Salt Life Food Shack
This seems to be a tourist favorite spot to enjoy roof top dining. There is a full bar on the roof and also on the first floor where live music is often played in the evenings.
Kitchen 251
The view, the fresh seafood, and the sunsets! Great casual place for any occasion. Could be warm sitting outside in the summer during the heat of the day; but wear your bathing suit with an easy cover-up and you are good to go!
Wicked Bao
You’ll be glad you made time to eat here. Another local favorite and the food is awesome!! Put it on your list!

Fun spot for all ages. Plenty of outside seating; live music happens here frequently!

Great breakfast spot! Lunch is pretty good too. Feels like a diner inside; good service and good food.

The outside seating area is the best you’ll find! Games for kids, live music, fire pits, and a cool outside bar area. Very casual and fun place to eat, drink, play, or just relax! What a view!
Cafe Karibo
Another local favorite. Great salads, sandwiches, and bar food. Great outside eating area…have a beer, bucket of fries, portobello mushroom sandwich, or a great burger. Everything is good here. Something for everyone!
Tasty’s Fresh Burgers and Fries
Another great stop during your stay on the island. This place has amazing hand-cut fries, great burger options, and the best homemade shakes. We love their black bean burger – yum!
Nana Teresa’s Bake Shop
This is a must stop if you have a sweet tooth! If you are celebrating a special occasion and would like a cake to match your special occasion then Nana Teresa’s is the place!!
Joe’s 2nd Street Bistro
Great spot for a special occasion. Great seafood dishes, outside eating area, and amazing crab cakes.
Stephanie’s Sugar & Spice Cafe
We’ve not eaten here ourselves, but we’ve heard great things about the fresh quiche, sandwiches, and service. If you go, please let us know what you think!
Burlingame
Another special occasion restaurant or when you want a little something extra in your evening out. Great food and service; quaint, cozy space that is very comfortable and inviting.
4th Street Deli and Salads
Oh my goodness…if you are looking for amazing salads and sandwiches, this is the place for you. Easy take out for your trip to the beach. Small, limited inside eating; a few tables outside. Take yours to go and sit at one of the tables at the marina.
Fantastic Fudge
Fudge made on property! Great ice cream, candy, and popcorn. We love this spot!
Salty Pelican Bar & Grill
Best place for watching the sunset. This popular spot gets busy, so maybe plan to arrive a little earlier to get a great seat upstairs if possible for an easy view of the sunset. Great tuna nachos!
