The Anglers Mark

Captain Lawrence Piper was born in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, grew up just north of the lighthouse and has been fishing here all his life. He has been an Amelia Island fishing guide and a U.S. Coast Guard licensed charter boat operator since 2006 and enjoys seeing people catch fish as much as he loves to fish!

Cleansweep Beach Fishing Rentals

We just learned of this new offering for visitors to our area. We haven’t personally used their service, but sounds like a great idea! They’ll rent you a rolling cooler with ice, bait, rods and reels, a sand spike and basic terminal tackle.

Amelia Angler Outfitters

Amelia Angler Outfitters specialize in family, individual and group fishing, sailing and sightseeing charters, and fishing lessons. They also carry a full line of fly fishing gear, redfish/trout lures, outdoor wear, sunglasses and a full line of hats. The Angler also rents out surf fishing rods and reels, along with fresh bait. Fishing advice is free!

George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier State Park

Eight miles south of Fernandina Beach sits this mile-long, pedestrian-only fishing bridge. It spans Nassau Sound and provides access to one of the best fishing areas in Northeast Florida. For just $2 per person, anglers can catch a variety of fish, including whiting, jack, drum and tarpon. Access to the bridge is through Amelia Island State Park. The mile-long bridge is open 8 a.m. to sunset, 365 days a year. On the Line Bait and Tackle shop is open for visitors using the walk-up window.
